On Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2008, at approximately 3:45 p.m., a young man was walking home from school on 24 Avenue and Pinemill Road N.E., when he was struck from behind by two young men. The culprits asked the victim if he had any drugs or money. When he replied no, they punched him and kicked him to the ground. They then fled the scene with approximately $1.50 in loose change and the victim’s school identification card.
The first culprit is described as Asian, approximately 16 to 17 years-of-age, 5’5” tall, with black hair and a medium build. He was wearing a baseball cap and white hoodie at the time of the offence.
The second culprit is described as Asian, approximately 18 to 19 years-of-age, 5’7” tall, with short black hair and a medium build. He was wearing a black hoodie at the time of the offence.

On Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2008, at approximately 8:20 p.m., a man entered the Star Liquor Store at 2323 32 Ave. N.E., and approached the till with a bottle of alcohol that he had taken from a shelf display. He told the clerk he had a gun in his pocket and demanded the money in the till. He then fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash and the bottle of alcohol.
The suspect is described as Caucasian, approximately 22 to 28 years-of-age, 5’6” to 5’8” tall, 130 lbs., with a short beard. He was wearing a blue/grey winter jacket with light-colored fur around the collar, light blue jeans and white running shoes.
