On Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, at approximately 1:30 a.m., suspect(s) broke into Guitar Works located at 7110 Macleod Tr. S. The thieves gained entry by smashing a glass window and, once inside, stole several high-end guitars, valued at more than $20,000. Several of the guitars were Gibson Melody Maker models.
 
In the process of removing these guitars, the offenders caused approximately $7,000 in damage to other items and guitars in the store.

Sometime between 4 p.m., on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, and 10 a.m., on Monday, Jan. 23, 2012, unknown suspect(s) broke into Rogers Wireless at 3545 32 Ave. N.E. and removed a significant number of new cell phones. Some of the brands stolen include HP, Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, LG, Sierra, and Apple. Total estimate of the theft is over $20,000.

On Monday, Jan. 23, 2012, at approximately 4:40 a.m., three men drove a white Ford F350 through the front doors of Optiks International at 4307 130 Ave. S.E. Once inside, a large number of non-prescription glasses and sunglasses were taken.
 
The first suspect is described as Caucasian, approximately 5’8” to 5’10” tall, with a slim build. He was wearing a white hoodie and dark-coloured pants.
 
The second suspect is described as Caucasian, approximately 5’7” tall, with a medium build. He was wearing brown construction pants, sunglasses and a dark, heavy jacket.
 
The third suspect is described as Caucasian, approximately 5’10” to 6’ tall, with a slim build. He was wearing blue coveralls with reflecting tape, a white construction hat and sunglasses.
 
The damages caused to the structure of the building are estimated at approximately $30,000.

On Monday, Jan. 2, 2012, between 4:45 a.m. and 5:10 a.m., a male suspect broke into Cravings Market Restaurant in the 7200 block of Fairmount Dr. N.W. by smashing a glass door. Once inside, the suspect removed approximately 50 bottles of wine and a safe filled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, approximately 25 to 30 years old, with a slim build. He had dark coloured hair and facial hair. He was wearing a grey hoodie, a grey t-shirt, blue jeans, light coloured work gloves and work boots.

On Monday, December 12, 2011, at approximately 1 a.m., a man attempted to break into the Ski and Snowboard Cellar, 5809 Macleod Tr. S.E., by smashing the front glass window. The suspect was unable to enter the business due to security bars behind the windows however, he was able to reach through the bars and remove 10 Burton ski jackets valued at $4,500. The suspect then fled the area by getting into a waiting vehicle. The vehicle is described as a white sedan with a burnt out or missing front headlamp.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian, approximately 20 to 25 years old, approximately 5’9" tall, had dark-colored hair and he was wearing a black hoodie.
